"Light can be used as subject matter in and of itself. It can be used to shape the empty space and a totally new composition can result. It is important to me more that I use the light around me to create the effects when I take the photograph then to just put it in Photoshop and enhance it that way. It makes the artist appreciate the use of the camera more (Corpron 5). It feels more worth while when you are at the site of your shoot and right away, you feel the emotion and you feel the photograph. {The World Around You}
"About 2 hours before the end of my shift, patience was wearing thin; after all, holiday shopping brings out the ‘best’ in people. And it was about to get even better. The woman who walked in just then could be called a real Cruella Deville; only different. She was stout, maybe five feet tall. She was large but you could tell she was thin in her youth and was now in denial that she was anything but. Her orange spray tanned skin varied in shade, made obvious every time she moved her head, the wrinkles on her neck would separate, showing her naturally pale complexion. Her eyebrows were heavily penciled like she waxed them off and let her five-year-old grand daughter draw them back on. She was wearing a hot pink, velour tracksuit; complete with the matching jacket, shirt and pants. As if that wasn’t enough, the jacket had “Foxy Mama” written on the back. In rhinestones and sequins. {Customer of the Day}
